This Package Includes:

Comprehensive Scan to provide you with an Assessed Risk of your child-to-be having Downs Syndrome. Optional Blood Test to improve accuracy.

Studio Session Overview and Background to this Test

The appointment is normally complete within 30 minutes. During this time, our registered, trained specialist sonographer combines specific ultrasound measurements including the nuchal fold of your baby-to-be with other data to provide a carefully computed "Assessed Risk" figure for your baby's likeliehood of carrying the extra chromosome 21 which causes Downs Syndrome. Safe and passive tests such as these can provide accurate Assessed Risk information which you can then use to decide on whether or not you may wish to have an Invasive Test. Invasive Tests (CVS / Amnio) are the only conclusive way to determine if your baby definitely does have Downs or not, but they carry a 1% risk of causing a miscarriage. We recommend that you also have a blood test to inmprove the accuracy of the assessed risk.
